"Parliament of things" (July-December 2012)

In this series of exhibitions diverse artistic positions which interrogate the world of nature and how its terms such as "social", "symbolic", "discourse" or "objective" are obtained, are understood as open questions. Nature and society, the human and non-human, the empirical delimitation provides no political solutions, which form of social existence should be distinguished.

Bruno Latour's accomplishment is to show that next to the importance of human actors in social theory, the role of objects and things is relevant for the organization of social life. The artists develop projects that focus on the specific character of the place for their presentations in the city center and are designed around the theme of political ecology as Bruno Latour described it to overcome scientific dichotomies such as human beings and nature, subject and object, relations of production and environmental conditions.
